BAMCEF | Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation |

BAMCEF is an Indian organization founded in 1978 to enlist the aid of the comparatively well-educated among the Scheduled Castes of India who suffer discrimination. It has no political or religious agenda, nor does it promote agitation to achieve its goals. BAMCEF is an acronym for "The all India Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation". The term got its significance from the Constitution Of India, which divides the oppressed and exploited Indians into categories on the basis of their namely: Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward class (OBC) and Minority Communities.

The origins of BAMCEF lie in an organization for employees of oppressed communities that was established in 1971 by Kanshi Ram. This became BAMCEF at a convention held in Delhi in 1978, with an official launch on 6 December 1978, the anniversary of the death of B. R. Ambedkar. The ideology of BAMCEF is to fight the entrenched system of inequality that divides Indian society, and to abolish the caste system.

Our Objective—Change of System

We have achieved some success in this endeavour. However, it is not enough to achieve the ultimate objective. Therefore, there is a need to accelerate the pace of these efforts. To achieve the objective of ‘Change of System’ and to implement these efforts more efficiently, BAMCEF has set some important goals before it. They are: To create in the intellectual class a feeling of paying back to the society to fulfill its ‘Social Obligation’. To instill in the intellectual class a feeling that it owes a ‘Social Debt’ to the community thereby making it payback to the society for getting liberated from this debt. To plant and strengthen the non-political roots of the Mulnivasi Bahujan Samaj (Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Converted Minorities) To create ‘objective-oriented’ and ‘objective-motivated’ type of awakening To propagate the thoughts of Rashtrapita Jotirao Phule, Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Periyar Ramasami To awaken the more or less oppressed 6000 castes, unite them and develop brotherhood amongst them To create intellect, wealth and talent for building a self-reliant movement of the Mulnivasi Bahujan Samaj To create and sustain leadership in the leaderless society To direct the directionless society To create and sustain full-time workers/Pracharaks It must be understood that the success of the movement of systemic change depends on the fulfilment of the goals written above.
